This song is (to me) about battling feelings of inferiority and envy in regards to people who are in the same line of work / doing the same things that you are.
More specifically, worrying too much about where you started or came from.
The original video is from the perspective of the vocal synth Teto Kasane, sizing herself up against (one can only assume) Hatsune Miku.
Teto was created by Utau (A FREE vocal synth program) users as a joke off-brand vocaloid.
Hence "Cheap Properties" and everything in the song. Teto has recently been made into a voicebank for Synthesizer V commercially.
The take away is, regardless of where you started from or the competition you face, you can still find value and success in your work.

Out of curiosity, what do you use for singing, and like, where do you do it?
I record with an atb2020+ usb microphone! i mix in adobe audition, and I typically record vocals in my bedroom. I've recorded in cars, closets, under tables with blankets, in cardboard boxes with sound panels, and a whole host of other places but right now, just in my room in my apartment lol. Really good!!! Was wondering though. Is this translation accurate or is it your interpretation so that it fit the beat a little better? Just wondering since they differ from the subtitles and translations I've found and I'm not sure how that works.
For me, it's impossible to ever sing a direct translation. So when I'm writing lyrics based on a translation, I try to keep the meaning of each line in the exact same place, while rephrasing it in a way that rhymes and isn't too wordy to sing! That's my process for every cover I do basically. Sometimes I do lose some of the intended meanings, sometimes I purposefully tweak something to be more relatable to me, but I always try to retain the original message line by line at least! The way this and adipocere contrast is so intriguing to me. Adi(flamestick girl) sings about their relationship with a weird type of remorse. She knew they’d never work out, but there was a time where she hoped they would anyways and tried to almost piece them together?? After the fact she sings in a way that, even if seeming remorseful, still passive aggressively blames Ura(hoodie person) for the end. Either way, she continues to say “I hope you’re happy now”. Ura sings with MUCH MORE aggression, their song even going as far as to glitch out at the end. They have found their worth while Adi has not. But surprisingly, Ura(in this cover) doesn’t actually end up blaming Adi nearly as much as Adi blames them. Its definitely interesting to watch because many people perceive Ura as abusive and Adi as a victim, but I honestly think they both had their respective faults.
